Welcome?? Guest I'm told that this heron, shown here on the roof of the church, makes his home at Lock 12. Wherever he's from, he has decided that our meditation pond is a good place for breakfast and supper takeout. Perhaps you have noticed that the fish are all huddled together in one pond, and there are fewer large fish. The heron has made his presence known.

Family Perspective: The apostles were just being practical when they asked Jesus to “dismiss the crowds to go buy food.” Jesus knew there is always enough when we place our trust in the Father, even with just 5 loaves and fishes. Trust is the bridge to miracles.

Youth Spectacular 2008 For those in grades 7–12, Saturday
Oct. 4, 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM at Holiday Hill. Archbishop Mansell will give the keynote: “Who do you say that I am?”. Amazing Grace team builders and icebreakers Activities, continuous food, time for prayer, confession, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Mass, and much more . Registration deadline Sept. 12^th. Cost $25 per person. (The first 20 from our parish will go for free !!) Call the Parish Office to register.

Prayer Shawl Ministry will meet on Friday, August 1 at 10:00 AM in the Parish Center.

The Little Sisters of the Poor will be here next weekend to ask for your financial help in their work among the poor and elderly. Please be as generous as possible – the Sisters do great work.
