CCD Registration. Early registration has ended. You may register on line, by mail or at the church office during regular office hours. Registration fee is $60 per student. Students registering for the first time need to include a copy of their baptism record.

Teachers. As we make plans for our 2010/2011 Religious Formation Program we find we are in need of teachers to meet the needs of a growing enrollment. Teachers are especially needed in grades 1(Tuesday weekly at 3:15 PM) & 6 (twice a month on Tuesday at 7:00 PM). Will you be the one to answer the call? If so please contact Phyllis (272-5777).

Adult Education. The Fall schedule for the Adult Religious Education Regional Center located at Our Lady of Loreto Church Hall, 12 Ardsley Road, Waterbury is posted on the bulletin board in the vestibule. Pre-registration is required. Please call (203) 574-2070.

Catholic Biblical School offered by the Archdiocese of Hartford, provides an opportunity for adults to come to know, love and live scripture through an in depth Bible study from a Catholic perspective. Uniform Drive. “Our thanks to the parishioners of St. Thomas Becket for their donation of $700 and school uniforms, socks, backpacks and school supplies. Your generous donation will allow us to provide for the children in need of appropriate attire due to inadequate family resources and help them get ready for school”. Prayer Shawl Ministry will meet on Friday, September 3^rd at 10:00 AM in the Parish Center.

CFCA. This weekend Father Kennedy, M.S. who is with us to celebrate Mass will tell us about the work of the Christian Foundation for Children and Aging. Please read insert in bulletin.

Wedding Anniversary Celebration. Couples observing their twenty-fifth, fiftieth or other special wedding anniversaries are invited to the Anniversary Mass on Sunday, October 17^th 2010 at 2:00 PM . Archbishop Mansell will celebrate the Liturgy at the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Hartford. Family and friends are welcome to attend. A brief reception immediately follows. Registration for anniversary couple is required. Please call the Parish Office to register.

Golf Tournament. The annual parish tournament, open to all parish members and friends, is being held on Sunday, September 26^th. Cost is $70 and includes 9 holes of golf at Woodhaven CC (tee off time is 12:30 PM), prizes and dinner in the Parish Center after golf. All proceeds benefit the Men's Club Scholarship Fund. Sign-up forms are available in the lobby or call Jim (203-272-0768).

Family Perspective. As in today's gospel, Jesus often used a meal as the place to teach. Too often family meals are rushed, eaten in shifts or in the hypnotic glow of TV. Meals can be sacred times where we listen, share, appreciate and instruct one another. Don't lose the opportunity.
