Mayanmar Cyclone / China Earthquake Relief: We will be asking for donations during the month of June. A basket will be available at each Mass for these offerings.
Religious Formation Registration Registration for our 2008-2009 program of Religious Formation (grades 1 -8) will be held following all Masses the weekend of June 7/8. A mailing with registration information has been sent to parents of all eligible students. If you did not receive one please call the parish office. Confirmation registration for 9th graders will be held in the fall. 8th and 9th graders are reminded to continue doing their Mass reports throughout the summer . Forms are available on the table in the vestibule.
Apppreciation Dinner: A dinner to thank the teachers in our Religious Formation program for their time and dedication to our program will be held on Friday, June 6th at 6:30 PM in the Parish Center.
Mary - Month of May. On the table next to the banner honoring Mary is a basket for prayer petitions for the month of May. Please fill out a slip next to the basket with your petition. These will be included in the Prayer of the Faithful at all Masses during the month of May.
Archbishop's Annual Appeal is coming to a close. “Thank you” to those who have made a gift or pledge. At $51,765 we are over our goal and still counting. Well Done! There's still time for others to participate; every little bit helps. Envelopes are on the table in the vestibule.
Rectory Update. The redesign of the proposed construction is complete. We should be ready to send it out for rebid soon. However, because we changed the water retention system from a below ground holding tank to an above ground rain garden, the town requires that we hold another public hearing before Planning and Zoning will sign off on the change. We will do that as soon as possible;. stay tuned.
Blood Drive will be held in the Parish Center on Thursday, June 19th from 1:00 – 5:45 PM. Please call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE for your life saving appointment. The American Red Cross asks for your help so that they may continue to meet the needs of all Connecticut patients this summer.
Prayer Shawl Ministry will meet on Friday, June 1st at 10:00 AM in the Parish Center
Communion from the Cup, alone. There are some people who are not able to receive communion from the Host for various reasons, e.g. those with wheat allergies or those who have trouble swallowing. It is permissible for them to receive communion just from the Cup. Those with allergies should make sure they are at the front of the line so that others who receive by "intinction", having the host dipped into the cup, will receive after them.
Stewardship: The Scriptures today remind us that "we, many though we are, are one body for we all partake of the one loaf." How are we using our gifts of time and talent to build up the body of Christ?
Family Perspective: There are times a parent feels consumed by the demands of family. In today’s gospel Jesus tells us we are on the right track for we are called to “give our flesh.” It is in total giving of ourselves we discover our life and actually give life to others.

only, but the Nation itself.” H
