Christmas Pageant Rehearsals for grades 1& 2 this Wednesday at 5:30 PM in the church. 1st and 2nd graders are asked to bring a can of food to class on Nov. 17th and 18th for the Thanksgiving baskets for the needy.

Youth Group Christmas Ornament for 2008 is on sale this weekend. Great gift for high school alumni!

Book of Remembrance is at the front of the church during November. Please write in the names of the deceased you want prayed for during November Masses; or you may tape in a funeral prayer card or obituary notice. We will light candles for those who died in our parish since last December. If you have lost a loved one this past year please call the church office (272-5777) with the name so we can add a candle for them.

Fr. Kennedy's Adult Education. An invitation to all parishioners to a one-session overview of the Gospel of Mark (the Gospel to be used for 2009). Attention will focus on attitudes/frame of mind one can bring to listening to St. Mark's Gospel; key themes, some significant insights St. Mark makes that can be helpful to us. Wednesday, November 19th, 7-8:30 PM in the Parish Center.

Altar Servers. Students in grade 4 or older who would like to serve on the altar are asked to call the office and leave their name. Training sessions will be scheduled for those who wish to join this ministry.

Men's Club will meet on Monday, Nov. 10th at 7:15 in the Parish Center. Agenda will be light – treasury report, Catholic Men's Conference logistics for those going and discussion on the upcoming Poinsettia sale.

Family Perspective. In today's gospel Jesus is clear: our homes are meant to be “my Father's House” where everyone grows in love under the protection of commitment and forgiveness and not a “marketplace” where we store our “trophies” of consumer spending.

Envelopes. The envelope system for 2009 is being prepared. Envelope users are the financial

backbone of the parish. And it helps us to budget for the needs of the parish. We want to encourage all parishioners to use the envelope system. For those of you who want tax statements it is our only means of recording financial contributions for tax purposes. If you are not presently using envelopes and would like them please fill out the form below and put it in the collection basket.

COFFEE/& AFTER ALL MASSES THIS SUNDAY (PASTA SUPPER AFTER THE VIGIL MASS)
