The Christmas Ornament for 2008 is on sale this weekend in the Parish Center. Ornaments are also available in the office during the week.

Giving Tree. The students in our CCD program have once again decorated the Giving Tree in the vestibule. They ask for your help by taking an ornament from the tree, purchasing a gift of clothing for a needy child whose size and gender are written on the back. Some ornaments have specific request and these will go to the children at St. Francis Orphanage. Please wrap the gift, attach the ornament and return under the tree by December 14th.

You are invited to participate in an outreach program for the Webster Correctional Institution by donating Christmas Care Packages . Only the following unwrapped items are allowed: bath soap, stick deodorant (no glass), toothbrushes, individually wrapped hard candy and individual packages of instant hot chocolate. A box will be in the lobby for your gifts.

Family Perspective. Today's gospel warns about routines and specifically mentions eating and drinking, raising a family, working and preparing meals. STAY AWAKE because routines can numb you to God breaking into your daily life, calling you to higher ground, “when you least except.”.

Envelopes. The envelope system for 2009 is being prepared. Envelope users are the financial

backbone of the parish. And it helps us to budget for the needs of the parish. We want to encourage all parishioners to use the envelope system. For those of you who want tax statements it is our only means of recording financial contributions for tax purposes. If you are not presently using envelopes and would like them please fill out the form below and put it in the collection basket.
