Prayer Petitions. On the table next to the banner honoring Mary is a basket for your prayer petitions during the month of October. Please fill out a slip with your petitions and they will be remembered at each Mass during the Prayers of the Faithful.
Baby Bottle Boomerang. The Pro Life Ministry is distributing baby bottles to collect donations for Carolyn's Place, a pregnancy resource center in Waterbury. Parishioners may fill one or more bottles with their donations and return them to the parish center the weekend of October 24th. Bottles are available in the vestibule. Any questions contact Noreen or Ron @ 272-8661.
Clothing Drive. The annual Clothing Drive will be held the weekend of Oct. 31st. As you change from summer to fall/winter clothing remember there are others who are in need of fall/winter clothing. Please clean, sort and label the bags of clothing.
Parish Stewardship Celebration: Before and after Masses on the weekend of October 24th we will celebrate the many ways our members give of their time, talent and treasure to enrich our parish life. The Stewardship Fair will feature displays on parish ministries, groups and committees with a representative at each display to answer questions or take contact information if you are interested in becoming more involved. Please plan now to spend some time browsing! Questions? Contact Pat 271-0561.
Family Perspective. Toddlers leap into our arms believing we will catch them. Children cry out at night trusting a parent will respond. Teenagers share their stories of shame, guilt and error believing we will understand. These sacred moments of trust are the building blocks for faith in oneself, others and God. With the apostles in today's gospel we pray: “Lord increase our faith.”
