Religious Formation . Classes this week: Monday – No Classes (Martin Luther King Day);

Youth Group will meet next Sunday, January 25th at 6:30 PM in the Parish Center.

Pasta Supper. The Youth Group will sponsor a Pasta Supper on Saturday, January 31st at 5:30 PM in the Parish Center. Tickets will go on sale next weekend. Plan now to attend and support our youth.

Pilgrimage for Life in Washington, D. C. Come join members of St. Thomas Becket Church and the Archdiocese of Hartford in the 36th Annual March for Life: January 21-22, 2009. For questions contact Ron & Noreen Pearsall 272-8661. Brochures are available on the table in the vestibule.

St. Bridget School Open House. St. Bridget Catholic Elementary School offers students a faith-based, challenging curriculum designed to promote academic excellence in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. They invite you to join them for an Open House on January 25, 2009 in their Parish Center following the 9:00 AM Mass. A special presentation for “Middle School” will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at 6:30 PM in the school library. Please call the school office 272-5860 to reserve a spot for this presentation. A flier is available on the table in the vestibule.

Women's Club. The Women's Club will hold its next meeting on Wed., Jan. 21st. Dr. Ana Apoltan will speak on women's health and answer questions. Please write them down and bring them with you. The meeting will start at 6:00 PM at Dr. Apoltan's office on S. Main St. (gray building across from Higgins Rd). Sign-up sheet is on yellow table in the vestibule of the church.

Pastoral Council will meet on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 7:15 PM in the Parish Center.

Finance Council will meet on Thursday, January 22, 2009 to review the budget for next year and the Annual Report for 2008.

Men's Retreat. The Men's Weekend Retreat begins on Friday the 20th of February. It will be a relaxing weekend of peace and quiet. Good rest, good food and inspiring talks, workshops and music that will bring you closer to God. A Gift Certificate is available for a first time retreat. Summer Intern. The Office of Urban Affairs hopes to hire one or two Catholic young adults between the ages of 18 and 30 in the summer of 2009 to work in their New Haven office as interns with the National Catholic Campaign for Human Development. Family Perspective. In today's gospel Philip told Nathaniel “Come and see.” He didn't preach, he invited and Nathaniel became a disciple of Jesus. If our children SEE the excitement of our faith, that will be invitation enough. Words will not be necessary.
